So, I thought I would test the old “fight or flight” theory by going for a 3 mile run this morning. I figured that Saturday’s “I am a horrible mom” run would have sapped my energy and speed more than today’s “nice easy morning” run.
I. Was. Wrong.
Turns out that even though I would surely be eaten by a predator– like a turtle or the more vicious banana slug–anxiety actually did make me run faster!
Today’s run clocked in at 41:09 for just three miles, but Saturday’s run was– wait for it– 3.1 miles in 40:54!
I know, right?
You also noticed the .1 difference in mileage, right? Longer AND faster.
